Peter Gibson
President and Chief Operating Officer

With nearly three decades of experience in international energy, petrochemical, oil and gas markets, Peter is responsible for the overall management and performance of Mas Energy.

Peter has a proven track record in entrepreneurship. In 1994, he founded a successful international company focused on supplying critical equipment and services to the oil, gas, and chemical industries. Under his leadership, the company completed major projects across the world for clients such as BP, DuPont, Dow and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.

Peter joined Mas Energy in 2008 to focus on the growing renewable energy market, quickly developing a pipeline of projects. In addition to his management activities, Peter also coordinates investment activities. Peter earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Business Management at the University of Auckland in New Zealand.

 
 
Michael Hall
Principal and Chief Development Officer

Michael has nearly two decades of experience in energy engineering, project development, business development and project structuring. He is responsible for all of Mas Energy's business and project development activities, including technical oversight, project management during construction, contract negotiations with customers and sub-contractors, and capital structuring.

Prior to joining Mas Energy, Michael served as Vice President of Business Development for Veolia Energy North America, an energy services company focused on district energy, cogeneration and utilities outsourcing. Prior to Veolia, he held several management and development roles for Fortune 500 companies including Johnson Controls, General Electric and Southern Company.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Bagley College of Engineering at Mississippi State University.

 
 
Steve Anderson
Principal responsible for raising capital and investor relations.

Steve brings extensive Wall Street experience to Mas Energy. During his 24-year career in investment banking and capital markets, he headed a variety of product groups for Banc of America Securities, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and, most recently, Jefferies LLC.  Steve has worked in both public and private markets, in products ranging from traditional investment grade and high yield corporate bonds to project finance bonds, mezzanine securities and preferred stock. As Managing Director and Co-Head of Investment Grade Capital Markets at Jefferies, Steve served as lead (book running) manager on more than 150 transactions, raising an excess of $55 billion in capital. He was also responsible for the firm's global project finance capital for his clients where he originated, structured and placed more than $3 billion in highly customized project finance bonds. Throughout his banking career, Steve led power and project financings representing an excess of 20 GW of gross generating capacity.

Steve has a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. 

 

 

 
 
Greg Green
Principal responsible for overall financial strategy and development.

Greg is responsible for overall financial strategy at Mas Energy with a specific focus on capital deployment and leveraging financial markets products to help deliver integrated energy solutions to clients.  Greg has over 10 years of experience in structuring, marketing and executing complex capital market transactions including public and private market debt, equity and mezzanine transaction. Prior to joining Mas Energy, Greg served as Vice President in the Power, Renewables and Utilities group at Jeffries, LLC where he led over $3 billion in capital market transactions representing over 15 GW of generation capacity. Prior to Jeffries, Greg held positions at RBC Capital Markets and Bear, Stearns & Co.

Greg earned a Bachelor of Commerce with a Major in Finance and Minor in International Relations from the University of Wollongong and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. 

 
 
Jason Byars
Vice President, Business & Project Development

Jason has nearly 20 years of sales, business development and project management experience in
the energy industry.  He is responsible for Mas Energy's business and project development activities in North America, including identifying and developing long-term, integrated energy services contracts for North American clients, technical oversight, negotiations with customers and sub-contractors, and capital structuring.

Prior to joining Mas Energy, Jason served as Business Development Director for Veolia Energy North America, an energy services company focused on district energy, cogeneration and utilities outsourcing.  He joined Veolia after serving as Program Manager for Combined Heat & Power at GE Energy and leading GE's response to the two most active North American hurricane seasons in decades as well as a cross-business response to the 2005 Southeast Asia tsunami.  In addition, Jason served as a Sales Engineer at Exelon Thermal Technologies, then the world's largest provider of district cooling services.  He began his career as a project manager with McKenney's, Inc., an engineering and contracting firm based in Atlanta.

Jason lives in Atlanta, Georgia and holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech, where he was a President's Scholar.

 
 
Edward M. Fye, Jr.
Vice President, Project Delivery and Asset Management

Edward has nearly 15 years of engineering, project development, and project management experience in 
the energy industry. He is responsible for Mas Energy's project delivery and asset management, including execution of new asset construction, asset management of existing facilities, and project development support.

Prior to joining Mas Energy, Edward served as Application Engineer/Project Manager for GE Energy, a global energy products and services company. While at GE Energy, Edward was responsible for the development and execution of more than 1.8 GW of global power projects. Edward provided project management and technical support for high-profile emergency power projects in support of the tsunami in Japan and Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. 

Edward began his career as a mechanical designer with Robert & Company, an engineering design firm based in Atlanta. In addition, Edward served as a mechanical engineer with Sandwell Engineering, an engineering design firm focused on the pulp and paper industry.

Edward lives in Atlanta, Georgia and holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Emory University.

 
 
Danielle Milman
Vice President, Business Development & External Affairs

Danielle Milman has nearly 20 years of business development and external affairs experience in the energy industry. She has spent the last decade focused on helping customers increase their use of clean energy while becoming more energy efficient and sustainable.

In her current position, Milman leads Mas Energy's business development and external affairs initiatives.  She is responsible for identifying project development and acquisition opportunities for Mas Energy's customers and external affairs activities including permitting, licensing, regulatory compliance, public outreach, government relations, and communications. Prior to joining Mas Energy, Milman led the Southeast sales and marketing efforts for EnerNOC, a global leader in demand response solutions.  She also held leadership roles in external affairs, supporting project development and origination for Mirant, Calpine and NTE Energy.

Additionally, Milman held management positions at Southern Energy, Inc., Southern Company Gas and Ernst & Young, where she led marketing efforts for EY's Climate Change and Sustainability Services in the Southeast.  

Milman holds a Bachelor of Science in sociology and social science from Florida State University and a Master of City Planning, specializing in environmental planning, from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

 
 
Richard Crowther
Managing Director, Onsite Power and Central Utilities

Richard has nearly three decades of diverse experience working within all aspects of the energy industry from supply planning and utility demand reduction to power generation, environmental compliance, carbon accounting and clean-tech project developed.  He has deep experience with central energy plant operations, bio-fuels, cogeneration, solar power and fuel cells.

Richard has worked in the manufacturing and utility sectors - both gas & power.  Most recently he led the Food & Beverage Segment and Energy & Water Efficiency practice areas for a global consulting firm based in Europe and before that he managed the Environmental Compliance & Sustainability related activities for Coca-Cola in North America for over a decade.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University along with a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University.
