Meet our Leadership Team
Peter Gibson
Peter is responsible for the overall management and performance of Mas Energy, along with coordinating investment activities. With more than 20 years of experience in supplying critical equipment and services to the global oil, gas, and chemical industries, Peter has a particular focus on downstream, onshore petrochemical and refinery operations.
Peter earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Business Management at the University of Auckland in New Zealand.
Michael Hall
Michael is responsible for all Mas Energy project and business development. With more than 15 years of experience in the global energy industry, Michael's expertise lies in energy engineering, business development, and project structuring. His experience includes acquisitions and project structuring for complex energy projects.
Prior to joining Mas, Michael served as Vice President of Business Development for Veolia Energy North America, a $500 million global energy services company focused on district energy, cogeneration and utilities outsourcing. Prior to working at Veolia, Michael held various management and development positions within the energy industry at Fortune 500 companies including Johnson Controls, General Electric, and Southern Company.
Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Bagley College of Engineering at Mississippi State University in Mississippi State, Mississippi.
Lee Shuman
Lee is responsible for all aspects of finance for Mas Energy's transactional activities. Lee has more than twelve years of multidisciplinary experience (finance, accounting, and tax) in global power-related transactions.
Prior to joining Mas Energy, Lee was a finance manager at Mirant Corporation (now GenOn Energy) where he focused on domestic and international transactions including project finance, business development, asset acquisitions and dispositions, organizational restructurings, and capital investment evaluation. Additionally, Lee held various accounting positions at Mirant that focused on accounting policy research, analysis, M&A due diligence, and reporting. Prior to Mirant, Lee was an international tax consultant at Arthur Andersen where he provided international tax advice for Mirant's foreign operations, development projects and acquisitions.
Lee earned a Juris Doctor from the The University of Georgia School of Law, a Master of Business Administration in Finance and a Master of Taxation from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from Emory University.
